Mirjam Maggio loves anything whimsical. Among her favorite things are snowflakes, bubble baths and piles of crisp autumn leaves. Small wonder, then, that she delights in illustrating children's books.

As a child growing up in Pennsylvania, Mirjam loved books such as Cranberry Christmas by Wende Devlin, Bread and Jam for Frances, by Russell Hoban, and anything by Steven Kellogg. She attended college in New Hampshire, finishing her art education at the renowned Cleveland Art Institute, where she studied illustration.

Mirjam has completed illustrations for an as-yet unpublished picture book, and works for a graphics company.
